My Healthy Community will have annual events that we can work on and get better every year. Outside of our annual events we want to plan special events that can help us gain participants and more people to donate to our cause and mission. Special Events will be ways for us to make money and donate to other organizations as well as giving prizes away. Our special events will be in collaboration with other organizations and be a highlight to us giving back to the community. We want to be creative with our giving back.
- Video Game Tournaments: this event will be a prize giveaway where participants will register to play and spectators will pay to get in. Inside the gaming event we will organize a silent auction with a table display of gaming equipment, participants will be able to bid for each gift and the most money donated will receive the prize. There will be a competition in three categories, Call of Duty, Madden, and 2K. A cash prize will be announced for each game upon registration.
- Board Game Parties: This event will be for bragging rights, will include a gamers trophy, Prize giveaways, food and beverage, and an opportunity to learn how to play a number of games to include spades, dominoes, chess, checkers, Uno, pinochle, poker, scrabble, and more. Board game Parties will be a day of fun, every game will have a winner and his or her name will be announced and given a trophy for that game.
- Daddy Day: This event will be a day where Dads are able to congregate with their children and make up for lost times. This day is also a day where Father Figures are recognized by the children they raise who are not biological but play the role of a father anyway. Daddy day is a day of education, fathers can come together to get advice from other fathers, to share stories with each other and offer ways to be better dads even when our kids are troublesome. Daddy Day is a day where fathers can teach their kids how to ride a bike, play catch, cut hair, read books, walk a lap, listen to music, and overall spend quality time with your kids. In the last hour of the event is when we will allow the mothers and families to come in and watch the father child relay race.
